$1,702 Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend Announced: Check the Details Now

As of September 2024, the Alaska Department of Revenue has announced that the 2024 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) will be $1,702 per eligible resident. This amount includes the standard dividend of $1,403.83 and a one-time energy relief payment of $298.17, aimed at assisting residents with energy expenses.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the 2024 PFD, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Residency: Must have been a resident of Alaska for the entire calendar year of 2023 and intend to remain an Alaska resident indefinitely.

Absence: If absent from Alaska for more than 180 days in 2023, the absence must be for an allowable reason, such as education, military service, or medical treatment.

Criminal Record: Must not have been convicted of a felony or incarcerated for a misdemeanor conviction during 2023.

Prior Benefits: Must not have claimed residency or received benefits from another state or country since December 31, 2022.

Payment Schedule:

Direct Deposit: Payments will begin on October 3, 2024, for eligible applicants who filed online and chose direct deposit.

Paper Checks: For those who opted for paper checks, payments will be mailed out starting October 24, 2024.
